MODELING AND SIMULATION V&V
Software skills, subject matter expertise, and data reduction and data visualization are the capabilities we combine in providing comprehensive Verification & Validation(V&V) support. MagnaCom's software evaluation process delivers products that substantiate findings. Verification and validation evaluation and comparisons provided in technical analysis, static plots, dynamic 2-D and 3-D AVIs, and full 3-D visualization of flight test reconstruction. Products make the difference between marginal and excellence in V&V.
Model and Simulation plays an ever-increasing role in system development and program execution. The V&V process and tools we have developed have received commendations on each program we have supported. Resource limitations and large simulations mean V&V must be highly focused.
Our product-based process ensures we maintain this focus. Products are based upon accomplishing three primary functions:
1) Comprehensive evaluation of the model with respect to its intended uses and producing artifacts that substantiate findings
2) Developing the highest quality reports/briefings informing the decision-makers on M&S capabilities and limitations
3) Improving the simulation via interchange with the developer
Technical Subject Matter Expertise and evaluation tools are what separates marginal and excellent V&V. Our system engineering, sensor and battle management, and environment capabilities provide the backbone for a complete technical evaluation. Our data reduction and analysis tools ensure that V&V products are delivered to support accreditation.
Our V&V process focuses on the generation of products. High quality products from both verification and validation phases that provide the basis for the accreditor's decisions. We leverage a library of data reduction and visualization capabilities to provide output that informs the decision maker quickly and effectively. We provide verification and post-test results comparisons in 2-D, 3-D static plots, and dynamic 2-D plots and 3-D visualization in AVI or video formats. These allow rapid checking of simulation anomalies and pinpoint areas requiring deeper investigation.
